A layer of numbing cream is applied to the treatment area for about 30 minutes. The MORPHEUS 8 handpiece is then used to treat the entire area, usually with multiple passes. With each "pulse", the microneedles will penetrate the skin to the proper level, and deliver RF energy to that level to effect your desired result. Treatment time is from 30-90 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. There is no special preparation before a MORPHEUS 8 treatment. Afterwards, your skin may be red and have a sunburned feel. Mild to moderate swelling may develop. Tiny scabs may appear and should be allowed to fall off naturally. Keep the skin clean and well hydrated during healing. Your provider will recommend an initial series of treatment 3 monthly treatments to reach your goals.  Additional treatments about once a year are recommended to maintain results. Some patients begin to see improvement in just 1-2 treatments, but best results are seen 3 months after the final treatment, when the development of collagen and elastin is complete.
